Golden Bough

This modern day trio of minstrels is popular the world over. Backing themselves on an array of acoustic instruments; Celtic harp, guitar, octave-mandolin, mandolin, accordion, violin, penny-whistle and bodhran, they blend their voices in the pristine harmonies that have become a Golden Bough trademark. To date they have released over 30 recordings. In the recording studio, as well as on stage, Golden Bough captures the essence and joy of traditional music.

Cooking with Turf

Cooking With Turf is a group of four friends who share many years of playing Celtic traditional music. We mainly present Irish and Scottish music, but have a repertoire of British, Breton and Galician tunes as well. We also have an American repertoire featuring Canadian, New England and Appalachian traditions. Cooking With Turf is versatile and covers all venues: concerts, weddings, parties and dances, from Ceilidh to Contra, from sensitive arrangements of ballads to rollicking jigs and reels.

Michael Mullen - Trio of One

Michael Mullen's Trio Of One brings looped jigs and reels and rocking acoustic folk for a uniquely Celtic twist to the term One Man Band. Whether performing exhilirating fiddle tunes, beloved folk songs, classic rock in his own inimitable way, or memorable originals--fiddler Michael Mullen's musicianship and energy drive the music forward like race horses being chased by a formula car.

Magic by Merloch

Do you believe in magic? Once you see Kim Silverman work his wizardly tricks, we're betting you will. In a review of Kim's performance in Magic Holiday, Christopher Jensen of The San Francisco Chronicle wrote, "With Silverman in control, Magic Holiday shifts from amusing to amazing. He pulls off a card trick - yes, a card trick - so mind-bendingly good that you're likely to stay up an extra hour trying to figure out how the hell he did it before resigning yourself to the existence of occult powers. Silverman does what great magicians ought to do: He reduces cynical adults to a state of holiday-appropriate wonder."

Village Dancers

The Village Dancers are a community folk dancing group, open to all ages.

The Red Thistle Dancers

The Red Thistle Dancers were founded in 1973 and are a non-profit organization dedicated to sharing and performing the dances and music of Scotland. They have performed in concerts and full-length theater productions, at outdoor events and fairs, and for international festivals, schools, parties, fundraising events, weddings, and conventions. The Red Thistle Dancers perform a variety of traditional Scottish dance forms, including Country Dancing, Highland Dancing, and Ladies' Step Dancing.

Piedmont Highland Dance

We offer a well-rounded program that strives to increase over-all fitness. In addition to learning the dances, at Piedmont Highland Dance we include periods of warm-up and warm-down as well as flexibility and strengthening exercises that are targeted to the movements of Highland Dance. We are primarily a non-competitive class (although we do offer avenues for interested students to pursue competitive opportunities) that encourages students to grow and learn at their own pace and comfort level. We try to modify movements to suit a dancer’s current abilities and limitations so that everyone who wants to learn Scottish Highland Dance can feel they are able. We invite you to join us at Piedmont Highland Dance
